π I was delighted to be invited as a speaker by the White Rose Doctoral Training Partnership (WRDTP) to co-deliver a training session on Computer Vision for Social Scientists alongside Andreu Casas (Associate Professor, UKRI Future Leader Fellow)

The session was dedicated to WRDTP-funded doctoral researchers, bringing together 30 PhD students travelling from multiple institutions including the University of Leeds, The University of Sheffield, University of York,University of Hull, and others to take part.

Got Invited among Top-25 Reserachers UKRI-BBSRC
- I’m delighted to share that I was invited among one of the top 25 scientists to join the UK Research and Innovation BBSRC AIBIO-UK interdisciplinary event on AI and Biosciences. It was an inspiring sandpit last week bringing together researchers from across the UK (University of Nottingham, University of Oxford, Teesside University, Lancaster University, Loughborough University, CPI, Prifysgol Aberystwyth University, King's College London, University of Bath and many more) to build new ideas at the intersection of AI and biological sciences.
π Presented our project on Explainable AI for Multimodalities: an exciting direction exploring how transparent AI can support complex data for Bio applications.

Directed the Challenge at Data Study Group, at Alan Turing Institute in collaboration with Industry Transport for London (TfL)
[Sept 2024]
It was an honour for me to Direct and Lead the Data Study Group Challenge (9-13th Sept week) as Principal Investigator on "Identifying Physical Assets on the London Underground Railways" in collaboration with TfL Transport for London at The Alan Turing Institute.
My team proposed improved versions of SAM-2 and U-Net image segmentation models while incorporating depth information, achieving over 95% precision and ~100% instance-level recall in identifying various assets of Underground Railways.
